Job Description

**Location:** **Preference is hybrid within footprint (if based in footprint, expectation would be hybrid), open to remote out of footprint, east coast only.** **Overview:** Individual contributor within a Marketing department or area. Has subject matter expertise pertaining to area of responsibility. Responsible for conceptualizing, development, execution and evaluation of marketing programs related to a market segment or business. May be team lead (without supervisory responsibility), coach others, and/or guide third-party (contractor) activities. Sphere of influence is primarily within department. **Primary Responsibilities:** + Create and maintain library of new templates, code snippets, and self-serve content blocks. + Create and manage data extensions and audience files; schedule and deploy email campaigns. + Set up and build within distributed marketing platforms, e.g. Stensul, Braze, Smarter Sends. + Experience building and deploying emails with distributed marketing templates and SFMC content blocks and modules. + Build and maintain journeys and automations. + Integrate with email platforms, eg Litmus, MI, Persado. + Acts as a subject matter expert for domain.  + Understands needs, mission, vision and strategic direction of the enterprise. + Develops strong relationships primarily across the department and with key partners across the division, when necessary. + Able to influence, create alignment, and inspire action across colleagues. + Keeps apprised of relevant best practices with no supervision from others. + May help shape department, architecture and/or framework. + Able to translate requirements into appropriate tasks/assignments. + Provides realistic delivery timelines. + Communicates clearly with team members as well as stakeholders across the enterprise. Supports the implementation of procedures, practices, and routines within area. + May represent M&T in external events for research and networking activities that benefit the company. + Able to complete assigned work with no assistance from others.  Proactively and effectively leverages other team members to complete assignments​ + Complete other related duties as assigned. **Managerial/Supervisory Responsibilities:** None **Education and Experience Required:** Bachelor's Degree 5 years of marketing experience (Or in Lieu of a degree, a combination of 9 years of higher education and relevant experience) Experience in dealing with escalated issues and resolving unique and significantly complex problems Has demonstrated strong working relationships with internal and external partners Ability to research, evaluate and recommend changes to initiative or project Experience in mentoring and/or onboarding more junior talent Technical Expert and/or independent judgment HTML and SQL knowledge is necessary Must be Marketing Cloud Email Specialist certified. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team Strong attention to detail, process, and organization Familiarity with Microsoft Office products Experience with Jira and Confluence **Education and Experience Preferred:** Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) Experience with Adobe Premier, After Effects or video and animation Ability to design digital graphics for websites and online channels Solid understanding of typography, layout and professional design standards Marketing Cloud Email Developer Certified M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $85,104.04 - $141,840.07 Annual (USD). The successful candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation. The range listed above corresponds to our national pay range for this role.
