We are currently seeking a Production Supervisor – 3PL Kitting Operations to join our team located in Houston, TX.

The Production Supervisor – 3PL Kitting Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities on the warehouse floor, ensuring kitting tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and accurately. This role serves as the frontline leader of the production team and plays a key role in executing operational plans, maintaining quality standards, and supporting a productive and safety-focused work environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Supervision:

  • Lead, coach, and supervise hourly warehouse associates in daily kitting and value-added services operations.
  • Assign tasks, manage labor across shifts, and monitor attendance and performance.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Production Execution:

  • Ensure work orders are completed accurately and on time according to customer specifications.
  • Support daily kitting operations by coordinating material flow, equipment readiness, and staffing needs.
  • Track progress against production goals and escalate issues to the Production Manager.

Process Support & Improvement:

  • Assist in implementing best practices to improve workflow efficiency and minimize errors.
  • Monitor key metrics such as throughput, accuracy, and labor productivity.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and provide input for SOP enhancements.

Quality Control:

  • Perform quality checks to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Report and help resolve product or packaging defects.

Training and Safety:

  • Train team members on standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety policies, and equipment use.
  • Promote and enforce workplace safety and report any incidents or hazards immediately.

Communication:

  • Serve as a communication link between floor employees and management.
  • Relay updates, production changes, and process issues in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in a warehouse, kitting, or assembly environment; 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
