About the Role
As a Product Owner at AccessFintech, you will be responsible for the end-to-end ownership, strategy, and execution of a core product line within our platform, with a focus on private markets and post-trade workflow automation. You will serve as the strategic lead and internal champion for your product line, ensuring alignment with broader organizational objectives, market opportunities, and client needs. This role requires a deep understanding of alternative asset classes and the operational complexities of post-trade environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including Engineering, UX, Sales, Marketing, and Client Success—as well as directly with clients and ecosystem partners to deliver innovative, scalable, and data-driven solutions.
Product Line Focus Areas: - Broadly Syndicated Loans & Structured Products: Including Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs), structured notes, and other securitized instruments. - Private Credit: Covering direct lending, mezzanine finance, and distressed debt. - Private Equity: Encompassing venture capital, growth equity, and leveraged buyouts. - Hedge Funds: Strategies such as long/short equity, event-driven, and global macro. - Real Assets: Real estate, infrastructure, and commodities. - Digital Assets: Cryptocurrencies, tokenized securities, and blockchain-integrated assets.
Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:
o Define, articulate, and execute a comprehensive product vision and roadmap for your domain, in alignment with AccessFintech’s long-term strategy and platform evolution.
o Identify whitespace opportunities and growth segments within private markets and post-trade workflows.
Market & Client Insights:
o Conduct in-depth market research, competitor benchmarking, and industry trend analysis to inform product strategy.
o Engage directly with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders to capture feedback, validate requirements, and ensure robust product-market fit.
Cross-Functional Delivery:
o Lead agile product development cycles with engineering, design, and QA to deliver high-quality releases.
o Define and prioritize epics, user stories, and technical requirements in the product backlog.
o Ensure timely, high-impact delivery through structured sprint planning and backlog grooming.
Product Performance & Optimization:
o Define success metrics and KPIs to measure adoption, engagement, and business impact.
o Use data-driven insights and client feedback to continuously iterate and enhance the product offering.
Stakeholder Engagement:
o Represent the product line in internal forums, executive reviews, go-to-market planning, and sales enablement initiatives.
o Act as the external face of your product at industry conferences, webinars, and client engagements.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 12 years of experience in product management or ownership roles within fintech, capital markets, enterprise SaaS, or financial infrastructure environments.
· Deep understanding of private markets operations , post-trade processes, and financial services workflows.
· Demonstrated experience in delivering complex, enterprise-grade products using agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, or similar).
· Strong technical acumen and experience working on API-driven products, data integration layers, and workflow orchestration.
· Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills —comfortable interfacing with C-level executives, clients, and technical teams alike.
· Adept at translating business requirements into technical specifications, and vice versa.
Preferred Experience:
· Prior exposure to or collaboration with platforms such as IHS Markit, iCapital, Cais, DTCC, BNY ALTS , or similar post-trade and private market technology providers.
· Familiarity with reconciliation workflows, exception management systems , and enterprise data distribution frameworks.
· Experience working with both buy-side and sell-side institutions , understanding the nuances of each within the private market and alternative investment lifecycle.
Salary: $120k - $160k + Benefits + Equity
