Job Summary

The Preschool Aide supports the lead teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and faith-based environment for young children. This role assists with classroom activities, student supervision, and daily routines, fostering the holistic development of each child in accordance with Catholic values.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the teacher in preparing and organizing learning materials

• Support children during activities, encouraging positive behavior and participation

• Help maintain a clean, orderly, and welcoming classroom environment

• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, snack, and rest times

• Encourage social, emotional, and spiritual growth by modeling Christian values

• Assist with routine clerical tasks such as attendance and record keeping

• Communicate respectfully with teachers, parents, and staff

• Participate in trainings and staff meetings as required

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred

• Experience working with young children is desirable

• Practicing Catholic who supports the mission of Catholic education

• Patient, reliable, and compassionate with young children

• Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively
